I could listen to Tim Gunn talk all day long, about anything. So imagine my giddy fanboy delight to hear him talk about the “do’s and don’ts” of superhero fashion. Boy, are you in for a treat! Crazy Sexy Geeks show Tim a series of well-known super fashions, both past and present, and get his patented Tim Gunn opinion on each and every one, from stylish to garish, from Robin to Nightwing. Let’s watch!

“Don’t we think the cape is important, when flying?” I love Tim!

I love Tim Gunn and i’m a HUGE Project Runway fan and i’ll keep watching despite this past season not being the best. That being said i don’t always agree with Tim but this was definitely hilarious and he made some GREAT points.

I’ve constantly said that they needed to do a superhero challenge which they got pretty close to in the Wrestler challenge. This past season it looked promising with designer Ben and his background in comics and superheroes. but i digress.

This post was great and I’m definitely going to have to look more into Crazy Sexy Geeks these videos were just too good. Hope we get more fashion/superhero cross overs in the future.

by the way there’s this great site called Project Rooftops where artists submit their redesigns for both known and unknown superheroes it’s really great.

I’ve never been a big Tim Gunn fan, but this was hilarious.  He’s totally spot on about the Catwoman costumes, as well as Black Canary.  I actually got into a fight on the internet because I thought the fishnets made Canary look trampy.

It’s one of the things I think about when I write stories about superheroes.  Would they actually be wearing these costumes if they were around in real life?  It’s like in “Surge Of Power”: he insists on a cape for his costume when everybody tells him its out of fashion…and of course, he more than once trips on it or gets caught in something.
