Quote of the Week: Just Say No to Poorly Animated Drugs

For the past 20+ years, I’ve been quoting poor, weak, doomed Ileena from the He-Man episode “A Friend in Need.” In case you need a reminder, Ileena wanted to be more like Teela, so she got all hopped up on magic juice, crashed her dad’s space car and colluded with an evil wizard, all while wearing the trashiest number she could find at the Buckle. To summon her dealer, all she had to do was recite the magic words “Em ot emoc.” I’ve used these words many times myself to summon bottles of champagne, dollar bills for go-go boys and even the occasional lubricated ribbed condom (for his pleasure), all with admittedly mixed results. Anyway, the point is that while I’ve been saying these words for 20+ years, I only realized moments ago that “Em ot emoc” is “Come to me” spelled backwards. Well. It turns out I’m stupid. I’d always suspected as much. Now I feel just like Ileena…dumb, blonde and underdressed. See the magic for yourself:
