A Whatnot is basically a Muppet extra, one of those guys in the background in every Muppet show, movie or song and dance number. Now…you can have your very own. For $130, FAO will send you a design kit, then you just send it back and in 3-4 weeks, you will have your real-life Muppet creation in felt and foam. This innovation can only be described as Muppetational. Though I’ve wanted a Muppet of my very own since birth, I can’t even begin to imagine what to design. Male or female? Blue or orange? Glasses or buggy eyes? The mind boggles. I have a feeling I’m going to need a whole cast.
