From Bluewater Comics, the people who brought you unauthorized comic biographies of such scintillating luminaries as Sarah Palin and Barbara Walters, comes their new series, Fame. The first issue, available on either Free Comic Book Day or the Wednesday after (no one seems sure), features none other than her majesty of overexposure Lady Gaga. It’s not that I don’t think Gaga deserves a comic. On the contrary, I have every reason to believe she could come up with something infinitely more creative and groundbreaking than whatever Bluewater churns out. But if you’re really interested, check out the variant covers on display exclusively at MTV.
Or, if you’re a real diehard Gaga fan, and you have $100 to spend on your Valentine, head on over to her official website and pick up the Lady Gaga Valentine’s Bundle, featuring the brand new Lady Gaga Wrecked T-Shirt and a pair of Heartbeats In-Ear Headphones, designed by Monster, Dr. Dre and Lady Gaga herself. That is one ugly t-shirt, but the headphones look cool. For $100, they better be. If they came with a box of Gaga truffles or a Gaga aromatherapy candle, I might consider it.
If someone wants a little more affordable bit of GaGa-ness, can I place a plug for a local (for me) company? Shirt Ink produces a t-shirt featuring the equation for a “Bad Romance.”
