FBOTU’s Weekly Comics Load: PARTHENOOM!

while i enjoy the Supergirl movie for the campy fluff that it is, really a witch supervillian using some kind of kryptonian tech as a wand?… that’s campy, she really doesn’t have much depth she’s the literal female version of her cousin Clark Kent she’s just Superman with two X-Chromosomes, that is if Kryptonians even have the same chromosomes as us. If you want a Supergirl with personality the Supergirl from Superman: The animated series and Justice League Unlimited has got some actual bite. While not the same as her comics counterpart, the show could call her Kara Zor-El so she had to be called Kara In-Ze and some other stuff, she was very much the modern leading female heroine. She was able to mix being a girl with being a hero very independent and head strong she was more than a one note character. Supergirl is all about the heroing and kicking ass and having fun. Like Batgirl in Batman: The Animated Series or Gosalyn from Darkwing Duck they’re female characters/heroes who wont just be defined by their male peers but but stand next to them on their own level.
