FBOTU photographer Jeremy and I have done a lot of shoots together over the years. Jeremy is a consummate professional and shoots some of the world’s most beautiful men on a daily basis. And I…well, I’m really good at getting nervous guys to laugh. I’ve mentioned before that I somehow manage to develop a crush on each and every FBOTM during the course of his shoot. Jeremy, on the other hand, is the stoic one, keeping us on track, while I trip and fall and flirt. So, having said all that, as soon as August Fanboy of the Month Matt walked in the door, Jeremy and I both managed to turn into goofy teenagers.
Matt is a tall, hunky fellow with a deep baritone voice and dazzling smile. When he looks at you with those green eyes and that smile spreads across his face, you never want it to end. Funny, confident and infinitely sexy, Matt and I immediately found common ground in our shared appreciation for Princess Leia. Matt argued that Leia deserved way more recognition and respect for being the “other” hope that Yoda spoke of. I, on the other hand, just nodded and grinned like an idiot, then tripped over a chair.
Jeremy and I have these shoots down to a science, going step by step and getting the shots we need for each week of the month. This time, however, as we sent Matt off to change into his final wardrobe selection, we scrambled to think of some reason to keep shooting. “Let’s tell him we forgot to turn the camera on and have to start over!” I suggested. “That’s stupid,” Jeremy said. “Just make him take his pants off again.” I then proceeded to take another half hour of video footage, just to keep the shoot going. Not my proudest professional moment, but, my god, you should have been there. I hope the pics and video give you a little hint of Matt’s charm and personality. We’re really pleased to have him with us all month long and are already thinking of some reason to lure him back for another shoot.

Interesting idea, Razz. I will give it a try at the next shoot. We only have a couple of more shoots before the 2010 lineup is done!

Maybe each month you could record the guys answering the “20 questions”? It would give us some idea what these guys are like. It wouldn’t require music and we still would get some eye candy.
You’re right, Fireball. We only have 90 seconds of theme song to give you an idea of the FBOTM’s personality. However, I have tons of footage and have been thinking about creating some other videos.
