I’m always fascinated by (and drawn to) those guys who seem to have all the confidence in the world, none of the hang-ups and little or no inhibitions. I suppose it’s because I, myself, am such a bundle of neuroses. I think part of the reason I’ve been so ga-ga over August Fanboy of the Month Matt is because he’s one of those guys. Confident, uninhibited and sexy, yet warm, friendly and surprisingly down-to-earth, he’s easy to talk to, easy to make laugh and easy to fall for, even if just for the month of August.
From my years as a photographer, and now in a producer role, I’ve learned there are really only two kinds of guys in the world: those who have no problem taking their clothes off and those who do. Lucky for us, Matt was dropping his pants (and more) before I could even finish giving him the direction. Since 2010 will probably be the last year we show skin in the FBOTM feature, I’m very glad we got Matt in before the format change. And we still have one week to go! Plus, the exclusive shots that will appear in the 2011 Fanboy of the Month Calendar. So, there’s still plenty of Matt to go around!

I agree: let the Fanboy choose how much skin to show. We just appreciate the weekly pin-ups. It’s nice to see that fanboys can be sexy, too. I think it helps dispel some negative stereotypes.
Thanks for all the great feedback. I’m certainly open to suggestions, and the idea of a hybrid of shirts and skins is a good one. I’m also considering accepting photo submissions, so FBOTMs don’t have to be in whatever city I’m in at the time. There will be guidelines, of course, but you won’t have to wait around for me to set up a studio shoot in your city, town or village.
I still have a month or two to iron out the details before recruiting starts for 2011. By the way, we’re doing a special Halloween shoot next weekend with 2009 Fanboy of the Year David, so be sure to follow FBOTU on Twitter for live updates and sneak peaks from the shoot.

You know…to be honest…Fanboys are all different, right? Leave it up to the Fanboy. Some may find teasing more sexy…as some don’t mind to be a little risky and if they want to bare it all, send them directly to my email, do not collect $200…lol

And I agree with Chad. Skin doesn’t have to be a requirement, but if a Fanboy doesn’t mind please don’t stop him!

How about both? I can respect modesty and find it sexy. Maybe those who are more comfortable showing some skin can still show their skin and those who are more modest can be allowed to maintain their values. Best of both worlds.
If it hasn’t been said recently, thanks for the effort you put into this site, Chance. It is a unique corner of the Internet that I enjoy.
Since I’ve been going to conventions this year and meeting more and more site members, I’ve learned that the striptease aspect of the FBOTM feature, while popular, actually keeps site members from volunteering. Guys want to be featured on the site, but want to keep their clothes on.
Nothing is definite yet, but it’s a direction I’m seriously looking into.
