The band EJACULOID makes their debut in Wuvable Oaf #0. I could definitely be described as a music fanatic, but apart from a brief grade school stint with the viola, have never been musically inclined. So EJACULOID, and in particular lead singer Eiffel, allow me to play out some of my own rock star fantasies, on the printed page at least. For the record, EJACULOID is described as a 'disco-grindcore band' on their MySpace page. What that actually sounds like has been briefly explored in their first single, "FEARCE", which was released as a vinyl 7" with the Special Edition version of Wuvable Oaf #2. That's right, in the grand tradition of Josie & the Pussycats, Jem & the Holograms and Gorillaz, I managed to get members of real life bands Limp Wrist and Needles to record as my fake cartoon band. For those fans of queercore, that's the legendary Martin Sorrondeguy on vocals; he's the voice of Eiffel, which completely blows my mind.
