Just watched the “Overflow” episode from Friday. I do like this show, though I felt it had more possibilities without Charles X acting as, you know, Charlie from Charlie’s Angels, giving the team assignments every week. I think it would have been more compelling if the team had started preventing the future apocalypse on their own, with Charles unable to contact them, depending on them from afar. I’m not that familiar with the X-Men books, only the animates series and movies, so maybe this is an existing storyline from the books.

I do like Emma Frost. And I love that they’ve animated Logan with such a cute ass.

I finally managed to catch a few eps on CBBC’s superhero weekend.
I love that it has a bit of a feel of the old 90’s show, especially the animation style towards the end of it. Rogue talking to Nitro about how she had tried to be cured once.. Loved that. I know its part of her character but felt like a nod to the old episode ‘The cure’
I think it’s going to be a good series. I know Ive enjoyed what I’ve seen a million times more than ‘X-men evolution’ which I just couldn’t get into, and felt like they’d messed with things far too much for my taste.

It is interesting how Toad looks totally different in every incarnation of show/comic/movies he’s ever been in LOL

how many episodes have aired… I feel like they are all out of order.  I have 3 episodes on my TiVo, but I feel like I’ve missed 10!

I’ve heard some really great things about this show, and it’s by the creators of X-Men Evolution (which I loved)... sadly, I can’t seem to find it on. Ever.

At this point I’m just going to wait for DVD. I try not to buy sight-unseen, but this one looks good enough to take that risk with.

I guess I am in the minority here, but i LOVE Jean Grey. In fact, she is my favorite comic character.  I love WATX, but was sad that she wasn’t really featured until the end. I hope to see more of her in the next season. Don’t get me wrong, I alos like Emma too. i think the 2 of them have a great dynamic together. It’s too bad that writers don’t see the potential there.

The last scene that feature some of the AoA (Age of Apocalypse) was awesome.  I really enjoy how much liberty they took with the X-Men while still trying to remain true to a lot of the major continuity.  I thought it was respectful in its efforts to condense so much X-Lore into the show.  Can’t wait for (crosses fingers) Season 2.

Now this show takes the stand now and then to have the good Prof. X mostly out of the way and letting the team make what mistakes they will without him coming to their aid and cleaning things up for them. The show sticks very closely to the spirit of the comics from when I use to read them and gives us some very good insights into a few of the characters we don’t see in the comics.

Yeah, it sucks that it’s cancelled and the X-Men Evo series ran for 4 or 5 seasons.. makes no sense.

There’s a new X-Men movie reboot in the works though isn’t there? So I assume they are probably working on something along with that.
