Yet more album info. This time from DJ Premier’s blog…
Last night DJ Eclipse was holding a party at LiveFromHQ because we all know DJ Premier is staying at Christina Aguilera’s home with his crew to work on her upcoming album. But you know Preem, he always gives a call to check in! Christina asked him to do two track for the album but they recorded already up to four tracks haha, she said he has to do whatever he feels like doing. Four tracks?! 2009!! And I’ve seen I already got linked to Aguilera’s fan pages, so I got some news for them too. The new album is suppose to release in september. Paparazzi and million Christina fans: get ready. She was suppose to get on the phone but she was going to eat or something. I think Panchi is becoming the new co-host on LiveFromHQ, and damn, this guy is too funny. For real, he is ALWAYS funny. Check “The Panchi Chronicles” for prove, you should pay only to hear his jokes haha. Preem was telling about the major fans at Aguilera’s crib taking pictures and and Panchi was already joking how Preem get out the mansion in his shorts with all the tabloids over there. Whatever, got some more news.. DJ Premier going west-coast? There is going to be a remix of “Ain’t Nuttin’ Changed” with MC Eight and Young Maylay (he is the main character “CJ” in GTA:SA game, Premo is a big fan of him). The video is shot last week also in LA. We’ll hear it in about two weeks. I can only dream about it lol. That’s all folks, stay tuned!

As far as their music is concerned, Ladytron aren’t exactly Top 40 radio fodder, yet they have been the subject of a lot of coverage in mainstream press thanks to their supposed involvement in the upcoming album of one Christina Aguilera.
“This is true,” admits Reuben, who says Christina got in contact with them a year ago and told them she was “really into” their music and would they like to work with her.
“We were like ‘err yep’”, he adds, indicating they didn’t have to think about it for too long. “It was a secret for quite a while at home until all of a sudden I got an email from a friend going ‘oh my god you’re working with Christina Aguilera!’ and it was all online, it was everywhere. We were just like ‘oh my God, what have I told someone when I was drunk’, but it turned out it was actually an interview that she had done with Billboard.”
After going over to meet Christina and get to know her socially, they’ve recently started working on tracks. “It sounds like Ladytron with Christina Aguilera on vocals…I think it’ll be a really cool record.”
i love christina aguilera. i cant wait for her new cd to come out. i think she has one of the best voices ever. i was like 9 when she became famous and once i herd genie in a bottle that was it been a fan since then. shes my second favorite after britney spears which no matter what her songs drive me wild and i just start dancing and i party harrd lolz
The group’s next unexpected first will occur later this year when pop superstar Christina Aguilera releases her next album, to include a series of collaborations with Ladytron. “It is, obviously, a strange experience,” says Wu, who was surprised to find CDs by Elastica and CSS in Aguilera’s car last time he visited her in Los Angeles.
Expect the resulting tracks to satisfy Ladytron’s interest in really weird stuff that humanity has created.

im lovin it but im thinkin it would sound better if you play around with it a little lolz like the light to the darkness. i think it would better if she did like a two disc thing where one cd is songs similar to her first and third cd while the second is kinda a mix from stripped and like a rock type sound. idk if yall feelin it but think about it for a lil i think im totally goin places wit this lolz

I’m still trying to decide how I feel about the name. But again, it’s nothing definite yet.
I think Christina is trying for a definite underground electro sound. She’s working with Ladytron and Sia, after all. It means she won’t be doing her trademark “soul” voice on those tracks, I’m sure. Screaming soul diva does not mix well with Ladytron songs. I can imagine a lot of it may resemble what Madonna did with “Ray Of Light.” Madonna’s never been able to replicate that artistic success of that album yet, but it’s got amazing staying power.
