Does anyone know how I could get a copy of Larua Hunter’s “Work Me Down” that was featured in the big hit 80’s motion picture “Disorderlies” featuring the rap artists “The Fat Boys”?  (I’m kidding when I say “hit!") It totally sounds like an 80’s movie intro track.  I’ve looked for that song and I can’t find an affordable copy.  The only lead I had was on Amazon that had an out of Print copy of the CD for $50!  Holy crap!  I don’t want the whole CD, just that one track.  I found that a few cheerleading teams use the song as part of their routine by watching some of the clips on YouTube.  How are they able to find this song?

I wanted to load the song onto my boyfriend’s iPod because he recalls it with such fond memories.  (It’s like his “Xanadu” because the scene in the movie is at a roller rink when the song comes on.) I was hoping to find it by Christmas.  long face

Here’s a kid dancing to the song at a Disneyland competition:

So, does anyone have any leads on how I could proceed or would anyone like to share their heartaches about an elusive soundtrack of obscure song from long ago that only you remember?

Good lord, that was at Disneyland? Her routine reminded me of Little Miss Sunshine.

Anyway, I have a friend who is a music guru or sorts. I will see if he has it and will get back to you.

Good luck!

I hope your dance routine wins!

I have always tried to find that song as well but never had any luck. I finally gave up, if you find a copy let me know!

Aww. The image of you on your back, legs in the air, makes it all worthwhile.
