If anyone out there is an H. P. Lovecraft fan like myself, you should do yourself a favor and head down to your nearest Barnes & Noble.  They just got in a “complete and unabridged” collection of Lovecraft’s work.  The book’s over 1,000 pages long and looks to include virtually everything the man ever wrote.  And it’s less than $15.  It’s part of their “essential author” series of books.

I’m very happy B&N;has deemed Lovecraft worth of “essential” status.  I’ve long been an admirer of his work, and his stories are a big influence on my own writing.  I even have a stuffed Cthulhu both in my living room and in my cubicle at work.

This is the time of year for it, too.  A store employee was stocking the “discount horror books” section when I saw him with the Lovecraft collections.  He set one down and I immediately picked it up.  He laughed, saying that they can’t keep them on the shelves, primarily because all the employees want them as well.

Wow! I’m a fan of Lovecraft. I have only read the Dulwich Horrors and a few other stories but i found them quite captivating. Its cool to find someone who also finds him quite intriguing and exciting.
