Okay, here are some questions I’ve received about the contest. Feel free to post your own or PM me!
Q: Do costumes have to be fanboy related?
A: Nope. Costumes can be whatever you want. If you’re dressing up as Lois Lane, great. If you’re dressing up as Margot Kidder after a meltdown, even better. The sky’s the limit.
Q: Does the entry have to be from this year? My lame friends want to dress as ghosts, but last year I was a fully functional Transformer.
A: Put that Transformers costume back on and have your lame friends take some pics of you in it. Or, if that’s impossible, I suppose you can submit a pic from a previous year’s costume. But nothing from when you were a kid! Cuteness will win you no points with our ruthless judges. So keep it over 18.
Q: I don’t really do Halloween. But I’ve been building a cosplay costume all year. Can I wear that?
A: Yes, of course. Cosplay/convention/roleplaying costumes are allowed and welcomed. So go for it!
Keep those questions comin’! Don’t wait until the last minute to ask or enter! November 1 is just around the corner!
Here’s my effort for last year… this year’s won’t even be seen complete until Hallowe’en itself. So here’s last year’s Classic series Doctor Who Cyberman!

Holy crap dude! How did you do that? That’s awesome!
The Cyberhelmet was laying around in a garage for years, I simply got it restored and improved on it, with parts from a plastics catalogue (EMA), filler, paint and a lot of blood when it came to trimming mesh… the chest panel is largely plasticard, with the bottom section being from an old knackered Cyberunit located on ebay. The suit, gloves and shoes are all from charity shops and painted in silver and gunmetal car spray paint, and the gun was a cheapo thing from a toy shop given the same treatment. The voice synth inside is a commercially available “voice changer” that was stripped out and rewired, then hotglued behind the chestpanel…
Well, I don’t think I’m doing anything for Halloween, so here’s a costume I put together for a party that I went to this past weekend. I call it Fallen Angel.
I had to wait until work was finished to post these, but I think my costume turned out pretty well!
For those of you that don’t know, Red Robin has recently been appearing in the Robin title. He was in Countdown for a short while with Jason Todd wearing him, but currently is unidentified (but not Jason Todd for sure).
He also was in Kingdom Come!
i am wearing this costume right now as we are about to go out, but i wore it earlier at a company function! my co-workers and i won 3rd place for our costumes in the contest! truly outrageous!!
