“Baby Love Child” by Pizzicato Five. Futurama fans know this as the song that plays during the final scenes of the episode “Leela’s Homeworld.” I picked up the CD it was on , Made In USA, for $2 at Half-Price Books, and I love it.

Pretty sweet. Thanks for posting.
I think my only previous exposure to Pizzicato Five was the song (and video for) Twiggy Twiggy, which aired a few times on Mtv in the 1990s. I found it a bit bizarre at the time, and I never forgot it.
Starpilot’s “In The Heat of the Night.” The vocals are kinda hair-metal-y (metallic?) and the video is delightfully cheesy! .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
There are 3 albums I’m listening on and on those 4 last weeks: Marilyn Manson’s High End Of Low (fav song:4 rusted horses),Lady Gaga’s Fame Monster (essentialy Telephone,Speechless and Teeth) and Rammstein’s Liebe ist Fur Alle Da (my faves:Rammlied,Wiener Blut,Ich tu dir weh…)
I’ve been listening a lot to the soundtrack to the film version of Reefer Madness: The Musical. Alan Cumming, Ana Gasteyer, and a naked Christian Campbell. You really couldn’t ask for more.
I saw 1970’s Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls recently, and I think I’ve become obsessed with it. One of the best parts about it is the music, including the opening number. No, of course the girls are not actually musicians. Lynn Carey provides the vocals while Dolly Reed does the lip syncing.
I really want Ke$ha to go away. I give her 6 more months.
Personally I’ve had “Telephone” by Lady GaGa in my head. It’s my ringtone, sure, but I can’t wait for the video on March 2. Beyonce & GaGa in the Pussy Wagon from “Kill Bill”? Hell, yeah.

You know, I really felt the same way when I first heard of Ke$ha. After hearing Tik Tok on the radio a bunch of times, I was like: “What the hell is so special about this bitch? Why do folks keep talking about her.”
Then I read that she doesn’t take herself seriously at all and decided to give her a chance. Now I have her “Animal” CD and I have to say the whole thing is pretty catchy, even though she doesn’t have much of a voice and the music is sort of more relevant to a younger crowd. I dunno how to explain it. haha If any parallel can be drawn…she reminds me slightly of the group Salt ‘n Pepa by way of Miley Cyrus and Alanis Morissette.
