I have been collecting the figures for a short while.  I love em.  I got myself a Flight Control TARDIS playset with Doctor, Martha, and Capt Jack figures online for $35. 

I personally do a bit of my shopping at http://www.drwhomerch.com.  The site seems a bit wonky, but Ive had good experience.  It’s where I got my Flight Control TARDIS for cheap.  Most other sites (if they even have it) are charging above $50. 

One thing I’ve been having some difficulty finding for a decent price is the River Song action figure from “Forest of the Dead” and “Silence in the Library”  Want her!  Have a Vashta Nerada…just want River Song now!

I finally found the End of Time figures. About bloody time..
It made up for feeling cheated on missing the 7th Doctor from Forbidden Planet. I had my card hacked last year through Forbidden Planet International, so was wary of using them, and ordered off the other FP, and unfortunately they didnt get enough stock to cover pre orders.. if Id risked ordering from FPI I’d have had Doc 7 by now. Now I have to wait for restocks at the end of May/early June and HOPE they get enough then. Boo.

FP must’ve seen me moaning here and found a Seventh Doctor somewhere to send me because he arrived out of the blue on saturday! (well, one of the two I ordered) He’s a great sculpt. a fun figure of a rather less than popular Doctor. He was never a fave of mine, Id stopped watching by the time he took over, but to be fair to him, that wasnt HIS fault.

In other good news, TRU is launching the new line on Easter monday! Its a little bitter sweet since there’s no wave 1 yet. Just the new screwdriver, and a two pack of 11 in 10’s shirt, and in his full outfit. This could be the only way to get the blue shirt 11. who knows with character options..
Anyway, its better than nothing. Im sure we probably would have had wave 1 released if it wasnt for the BBCs crazed licencing rules and having to keep things hush hush. Despite the fact a bunch of monsters have been revealed in trailers, the toys wouldnt really be spoiling much. Im sure they could have got away with a six figure line up to be in stores coinciding with the show starting on TV, and sold a LOT more units to fickle kids who wont care about the Doc once his run on TV is over. But hey they know better.. atleast there’s going to be a proper Matt Smith figure to pick up after the first episode has aired

Anyone near Brent Cross in London?  Monday the 5th of April there’ll be a large blue Police Box owned by the BBC there, to help launch the new toy range….

I won’t be able to go to London, but Im going to be sure to get down to TRU nice an early on Easter monday to pick up my Raggedy Doctor/ Eleventh Doctor twin pack! Shame it’s not a Doctor and Amy twin pack though.

I ordered mine online from Forbidden Planet, saved a couple of pounds on the Doctor twin pack and the sonic…

And then I bounced out of bed this morning and ran to Toys R Us because I was too excited to wait for the sonic to come in the mail… still; it’s always good to have a spare, right?

It’s even got two hidden modes…

Season 5 wave 1 is delayed till end of July (bah!)

But hot on its heels is the Eleven Doctors box set! (all new variants of (most of) the Doctors, and Doc 8 (McGann) for the first time, ever!
Its a bargainous price at £46.99 for 11 figures! GREAT value compared to the recent releases that went for £15 - 25 a pop.

Then there’s the SDCC stuff. Doc 11 with Dalek, Regen Doc 5 and the absolutely amazing Doc 5 and Ainley Master two pack! The last one is very exciting to me. Nice to see Nyssa’s bodysnatched Dad as a figure at long last
