Another close one here, but thankfully I managed to complete my order. The site was behaving quite bizarrely. I got through to the bundle page at about 12:05, but was met with the “Coming Soon” message on every item. So, forced to refresh again I got caught in a WSOD loop for about 8 minutes before finally being able to add the items to my cart and check out (compelete with more WSOD at every click). Toy stress.
Not too much longer until Count Marzo. Sooooo glad there’s nothing I need to order off the site this month, though I’ll be around to watch the chaos…lol Hoping to get early shipping confirmation on my sub soon.
I got in about 9:02, filled my cart, then got the refresh page for about 7 minutes. When the site came back, everything was sold out. So I will be lining up at Comic-Con.

It’s quite disturbing… Im really worried about the SDCC sale day at Matty collector.
Orko and Adam should NOT have been non subscription figures.. :(
Perhaps this might give Matty the idea that maybe they should offer pre sales way in advance and get a better idea of just how much of their product they need to make. Fools.
Well I was able to get through, but it wasn’t me that did it. I was at work and couldn’t log on, so I had my bf’s twin brother do it for me. I was on the phone with him going over what to do step by step. We waited for 10 agonizing minutes for the screen to load. But by some miracle it actually worked and I got my Orkos. I was totally surprised and thought I was gonna be holding a torch at the Matty booth this year joining in with the rioters.
So, am I the only one who is not all that impressed with Gygor? The colors are horrendously harsh, and I feel his bio doesn’t make much sense to me. It seems to be out of chronological order. From what I’ve seen, the sculpt is really nice. I guess once I open my Tytus I can make a better call on the giant figures. I know he was planned, but he seems kind of forced into the line. At least Marzo, Carnivous and Wun-dar have some relevance to the line.
I will be buying the sub. Don’t forget, they include all the extra beasts and variants this time. Scalpers and collectors alike can buy as many subs as they wish!
My biggest complaint about Gygor is they wasted a sculpt.. on a character none of us have any emotional ties to, and who could easily have reused an existing mold they already had… Since theyre so keen on reminding us money for tooling just isnt really there. But then they can spend it on something like Gygor.. what?
So they wanted to make him bigger than Grod.. Why? Who cares.. He never existed in any official capacity before. Grod would have done fine. Do a new head sculpt for it if necessary. The efforts that went into this could have paid for tooling for a unique sculpt we would all be clamouring for.. Like Ram Man.. And they could still have done a Gygor at a minimal cost using an exisiting mold (Grod)
The sub is bittersweet for me. Im still going to be sat on Matty ordering extras when and where I need them anyway, and the way I now have no choice but to have everything in the month shipped together means Im going to get some hefty customs and excise taxes every couple of months.. usually around £15 a time, so the line is going to cost us overseas collectors a LOT more money this year. I know some people have already decided they just cant afford to pay for it thanks to the all in sub, which is a real shame.

See, Toy Guru said a while ago that they could reuse sculpts from the DC line. I’m basing it on that.
Obviously that plan has since been quashed, but since Im not a legal expert like yourself I wasnt aware that was the problem.
Cheer up dude, wouldnt kill you to smile sometimes

The Wonder Twins falcon is the same Zoar mold.
Bazinga!
Of course, it could be said that that one is interchangeable because the origional sculpt was used for Zoar, which is MOTU, which is owned by Mattel anyway.
All this legal stuff just seems like Buzz Killington just stepped into the room sometimes.
Really? You rated Vikor higher than Roboto? I have not real interest in him right now. I might feel different after I get it in my hands. To me, he was a very good update of the vintage fig. I hope you’re right about him.
I like the Preternia Disguise He-Man also. I spent many years staring at those comic panels showing him go back in time and I always wondered what followed. His disguise is burned into my mind. I can see where some may not like him, but I’m looking forward to him. More so than Molarr or Gygor.
