Hey guys,

I am heading to HeroesCon 2012 in Charlotte, NC this year and was hoping I could meet up with some people there. I’m a big DC fanboy with some love for indy and Marvel.. and I’m rather opinionated just fyi lol. I also dig Doctor Who and Anime (too many to list here lol). Anyhow, just looking to talk to some people early so we can get to know each other before meeting up and it being weird.

Its a great shopping con!

oh awesome! I should be there Friday and Saturday. I’m all about getting signatures! I like shopping too, but I’m going this year b/c of Jimmy Palmiotti and his lovely wife Amanda Conner and former President of DC Comics and the single greatest Legion of SuperHeroes writer of all time, Paul Levitz. It’s exciting!

Indeed.  I’m looking forward to meeting Mr. Levitz for sure..

Awesome! I’m going to have a horrible time trying to narrow it down to what comics I want signed though.. I love Levitz’s JSA, his Huntress (Helena Wayne), and his Legion stuff.. Palmiotti though told me to bring everything.. He will regret that.. muwahaha! lol

hey, he told me to and I’ll be glad to come back at any time, I’ll be there for 2 days So it’s not that big, but I doubt there will be much of a line for Palmiotti (though I could be 100% wrong and that’d be AWESOME!) At least I will not be the douchebag that had Roy Thomas, who was asking for tips for signing b/c he has no other way to make $s at a con,  sign a shit ton of stuff and gave him a BUCK..

and ugh for Roy,,,

yeah.. then he had to harass me b/c I only had 3 whole comics (All-Star Squadron 1, Infinity Inc 1, and Young All-Stars 1). Last year, I got pretty much everything else I wanted signed from him signed. He is so nice. I wish his wife would come so i could get her to sign stuff, but my understanding is she doesn’t really like the convention scene.

Well, each to their own.    Can’t blame her for that.  Aside from the few panels, there is shopping and the art auction and.. well that’s about it. Charlotte pulls up its stakes around 8pm.  Not a whole lotta stuff going on outside the con.

8PM? SO LATE? Man.. here in Charleston, everything is closed at like 7.. if not earlier lol. I only get to go to HeroesCon, so I use it as an excuse to harass the writers/artists while I can. I LOVE harassing Mike Maihack. Of course, my room is like covered in his art now b/c of it lol.
