Sarah Michelle Gellar is trying to make a TV comeback, with a pilot episode of a new series for CBS called Ringer. SMG plays a woman on the rub from the mob who hides out as her wealthy twin sister…who we find out is ALSO targeted by the mob. (If you add the phrase, “with sexy results” to the end of that, you just described the plot to a handful of late-night Cinemax films from the mid-90s.) The episode was written by Supernatural‘s Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder, and it would be SMG’s first TV show since Buffy ended, not counting a pilot she did for HBO a few years ago that was never picked up.
