Here’s a link to the NPR preview. Can’t wait for this one! The title track is my fave! “I’m fierce and I’m feelin’ mighty, I’m a golden girl, I’m an Aphrodite!”
I played through the samples on iTunes this morning, and color me “meh.” The lead single is pretty cool, but the album sounds like it’s way too monochromatic. I don’t know...I’m a bad gay in that I’ve never been a Kylie fan. A few songs here and there ("2 Hearts”, “Love At First Sight") but nothing major.
I’ve been playing it non-stop since I got it. I love the CD and don’t find it monochromatic at all, instead I think it’s very cohesive instead of some of the really random offerings on some other diva’s cd’s. I can see almost all of the songs on the cd released on radio and in the clubs except maybe one or two. Aphrodite is my fave still but I’m liking Cupid Boy also as well as the ones being promoted heavily. Over the last few years I’ve only found a few new offerings I’ve liked like crazy big time; Madonna when she did Confessions, Cyndi’s when she did Into the Nightlife, and this summer it’s Kylie for me. It’s fun and takes me back to when I first saw her in the “I should be so lucky” video.
Johnny, you are a bad bad gay! *takes out water gun and squirts you in the nose*
Best album of the year. Her last one was criticized as un-cohesive so this time she hired Stuart Price who mixes it all together
Best is the title track, Get Outta My Way, Put Your Hands Up and Can’t Beat The Feeling. The video to All The Lovers is heaven, too bad American radio won’t play her.
I saw her in NYC in 2009 and it was incredible to see such a grand show in a small venue.
