So a friend and i were talking on the phone late one night and we were discussing our next trip to the comic store… and i was thinking of a very nice and clever way to atract the atention of those shy and timid gay geeks that never talk to me… and i told my friend:
“omg alex… what if i dress up in my Robin costume just to see if i have any luck with the guys?”
and he was so kind to tell me:
“oh rob idk thats one of the reasons i didnt go out with you that halloween night u dreesed up as robin.. its like some major damn fetish fantasy every gay geek guy has.. and im a marvel kinda guy i can just imagine the DC’s all over you!”

so what do u say guys? if you ever see a guy going to your comic store dreesed up as your favorte super heroe/sidkicks would that increse your motives to hiton/ask the guys phone number/say hi/date?
and what superheroe/sidekick would you like to see make a visit to a comic store near you?

haha any who.. if i ever do dare to go in to the comic store with my Robin costume ill post the pics hhaha just for fun!!! hope ya answer!!!!

Hee-hee. If I saw someone at my local shop done up in full hero mode I’m pretty sure I’d…

1. Giggle, because it’s adorable
2. Get a quick peek at what they’re packing in those tights
3. Snap a photo with my phone so I can share your bold geekiness with others.
4. Say Hi.

So I say go for it. Mostly because I want to hear what happens and see crazy photos from your day. ^____^

At our local shop here in good ol’ SF, we had a patron dress up in a makeshift Boy Wonder costume to pass out fliers. Folks were more receptive and curious as to what he was handing out, and I think he got a number (or two). So I’m all for it!

It also depends on how surly your comics monger is. If I walked in my comic book store in costume, I think the owner would pull a baseball bat from under the counter and throw me out.

:-(

Good luck! Take pics!

I know I would be looking anyone that did it over and yes seeing what he was packing. I would smile a lot for it would be very bold joy to see someone dress up that way. I might even chat with that person for a bit, but don’t think anything more would come of it.

I think its a great idea and would be a great day. Mind you inless there is a a lot of gay guys in you comic store, i cant see it getting you a date. Also if they are shy, they may come talk to you and check out “what your packing” but asking you for your number or a date, i cant see happening.

That being said do it and take pictures
