Julie Gardner called the character The Doctor’s Mother, and Claire Bloom’s US Agent let it slip as well… and i think it’s good to have the wonderful, imposing lady as the Doctor’s Mother.  How much harder it must have made the Doctor’s decision to doom them all again….

Can’t be Susan Campbell nee Foreman, she shacked up with a bloke called David (Campbell, not Tennant) and her time travelling days came to a halt in 2164. Can’t be Donna, the biological metacrisis means she can’t fully remember her half Time Lord days or her head goes ka-boom…

Romana, according to the BBC history (and not that now touted by Big Finish) was left in E=Space; she seemed a very likely candidate to be The Woman, and that was my first initial reaction too; and I think Thalia, who was already *on* the High Council was the one fried by Rassilon’s gauntlet.

I don’t know that it really ‘can’t be’ any of them. who knows what could have happened to them in the time inbetween?
I like that it was left open (for now) and leaving more questions. There were two time ladies at the end, so who was the other one? Just another random time lady or someone of some relevance? And why did Rassilon call them weeping angels? That just added even more confusion raspberry

I’m now really excited about the upcoming new figures. It’d be so cool if the Master comes with a swappable Skeletor head!

I caught the tail end of the latest one; the part where Skeletor blasted the one Time Lord, repeatedly.  I am soooo confused as to what’s going on, because I rushed through Season 4 around the time they were first airing.  I think I need to re-watch those properly.

Yeah—as far as “The Woman” goes, I think “We’re not sure—but there was some reason to believe it was his mother” is the best answer we can provide, since we have no real idea as to when the Time War happened relative to the Doctor’s personal timeline.  I feel if RTD had wanted us to know with certainty it was his mother, he would have had the Doctor call her “Mommy.” grin

Well, I kept thinking at the end of the first episode that maybe if Donna’s head actually did explode, that she would just regenerate, since she is part Time-Lord. Maybe she will return in some form in the future.  I really miss her character, maybe even more than the Doctor.

Doesn’t Russell Tovey have the most delectable ears? *lick* ... *nibble*.
