Anyone else picking up the Just League: Complete Series on DVD?  It just came out this week on Tuesday.  The cheapest I found it was on Amazon.  Best Buy had it for almost $89.99, Target for $74.39, but Amazon had it for $67.99

It’s the entire Justice League series and the Justice League Ultimate with some extras from Bruce Timm.  I kept hesitating to buy the original seasons on DVD and I’m glad I did.  I’ve only caught bits and pieces of JLU on Cartoon Network and it’s always the same ones.  I want to know more about Diana being kicked off the island (so to speak), and the war with the Thanagar Home World.  I know just enough to know I missed something good.  Especially after hearing about Amanda Waller coming up on Smallville, I want to know her whole story arc as it will be in the future.  She’s a tough broad!

I’d actually kind of like it myself.  I was never a big DC, but I really liked how the show handled the characters.  But there’s that whole “Geez, I really could use the $75 for food” thing.

Sheesh It’s just $75. It’s not like it’s a tauntaun sleeping bag or anything like that! Ha-ha! cool smile

I’m kiddding, of course.  I also have the bad habit of eating and I’ve grown quite accustomed to hot water also.

Hey! I resemble that remark. If you’d like to join me, there’s plenty of room in my Tauntaun sleeping bag. We can snuggle and watch Justice League.

Ooh, I’d like to watch

... the DVDs :p

Actually, if you can afford them, I recommend the series. I really enjoyed it.  I loved how they managed even to work in obscure characters in a manner that made them interesting. I’m a fan of Vixen because of her appearances on JLU.

And they really worked out the Thanagarians, from what some fans complained were inconstancies in Hawkgirl’s story on JLA to a whole surprise with her later on in the series.

And Amanda Waller was a character I also didn’t know much about until she dared argue with Batman and got him to back down!
