Ok, it’s the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street.  The place where I learned about cooperation and who are the people in my neighborhood.  Anyone want to share any great Sesame Street memories?

I was on Facebook and this image of an anything Muppet on someone’s page triggered a rapid series of thoughts and I started to laugh!  The speed of thought is way quicker than the speed of light.

When I was a kid, I had an LP (for you youngin’s, it’s a really big, 2-sided CD) of the Sesame Street Monsters songs.  And on this record, was a song named “Fur.”  (Don’t look up the re-make.  You have to hear the original.)

It seems that is where my love of fur started, when I was a little lumpling.  I checked out YouTube, and when I clicked the link, I could’ve practically sung this whole song after not hearing it for over 20 years!  Now, it has a totally different meaning and I laughed at the sheer self-induced humor I projected into the song’s lyrics.  I could picture this going VERY differently as a cabaret act!  I still love this song for it’s cleverness and it’s simplicity.  My inner-child is just a pervert!
