The BSG movie, The Plan, directed by Edward James Olmos, telling the Cylon point of view from the early seasons of the new series, is still set for a DVD release date of October 27. It won’t appear on TV, though, until sometime in 2010.

Got it at the top of my Netflix queue. Can’t wait to see it!!!

Even though I loathed the final episodes of season 4, I’m still looking forward to “The Plan”.

Although, I do wish that they’d managed to convince Lucy Lawless to reprise her role as Number Three since a film from the Cylon point of view won’t be that interesting without Number Three involved since she appeared to hold a leadership role within the Cylon society.

I definitely want to see more of Boomer/Number Eight and Cavil/Number One. They’re such a gruesomely twisted couple - I need to know more about their epically vomit-enducing relationship (no disrespect to Cavil, I’m sure he’s got the goods, but Boomer is made of pure awesome).

Anyone have anything to add after watching it?

I myself thought there were a couple of really good stories in there (the Simon in the fleet story was great,) but as a whole it was uneven and only occasionally satisfying.

On the other hand, I felt like they could do an entire series set elsewhere in the fleet during the same time period and it could be every bit as riveting as the story focusing on the power players.
