Did anyone pick this up?  I haven’t seen it yet in person.  I can’t wait to get out of work… I heard the Hordak bio on Disc 3 is interesting.  I hope the Lithograph that comes with the Best Buy special edition is nice and not some crappy re-do of a bad pic.

The lithograph is cool. It’s basically the DVD cover at, but a little shinier. I’m going to watch some of the special features tonight.

Ha!  Yeah, turns out that Hordak and Skeletor had a steamy pupil/teacher thing going on way back when. 

No but seriously, part of the big reveal does have a subtexty gayness to it.

In Hordak’s profile on Volume 2, it states that Hordak is the younger brother of Horde Prime.  (Like in the She-Ra series and one of the UK comics I believe)

GAY PART

They go on to say that Hordak first arrived on Eternia while chasing He-Ro ‘The Cosmic Warrior’ across the universe. 

Hordak was going to try to conquer Eternia in the name of the Horde Empire, but got sidetracked in the struggle between King Grayskull and the Snake Men. (guess he couldn’t think straight with all the beefcake around)

Okay guys, I haven’t picked up the set yet.  What is the difference in the Target and Best Buy versions?

Best Buy comes with a poster?

Target comes with 3 extra art cards?

Yep, pretty much.  The Best Buy exclusive comes with a lithograph.

Target’s has 3 additional cards within a cardboard envelope that’s stickied to the back of the set.  The cards have that metallic foil effect and feature these images.  (No, these are not the actual cards):

I got mine a week ago but havent had a chance to have a look yet.
All the crap on the Hordak bio is laughable, especially considering the restrictions dumped on MVC when they were doing the comic. Heaven forbid they should try stick with working with established lore when Mattel can go back to a dead story and update it with something so silly that ruins established facts of two important characters, and breaks their own daft copywrite laws including Horde Prime who’s a Filmation owned character. Amazing Mattels lawyers heads all havent exploded with this conumdrum.
