I can’t wait for Dragon Con 2012. Who all is going? This will be my fourth year.

I’m planning on dressing up as Magneto, Superboy, Brianic 5, the Shade, the Riddler, and a Manhunter.

Hey guys,

I am heading to HeroesCon 2012 in Charlotte, NC this year and was hoping I could meet up with some people there. I’m a big DC fanboy with some love for indy and Marvel.. and I’m rather opinionated just fyi lol. I also dig Doctor Who and Anime (too many to list here lol). Anyhow, just looking to talk to some people early so we can get to know each other before meeting up and it being weird.

Anyone going to LA/WeHo Pride? [Previously: Anyone attending Long Beach Pride?]

SOOO last time it occurred to me that maybe some other gay geeks might be attending LB Pride, or at least i had hoped so, however that thought came to me while i was AT the event which was probably too late. Now I’m getting at least… six—yeah six days ahead of last time. So here we go again.

Will any of my other gay geek compatriots be joining in the over indulgent hedonism of LA/WeHo Pride this coming weekend? In case you weren’t aware it’s June 11-12. It should be great fun! In case anyone is interested maybe we can all meet up or just wear a similar shirt or something. Last time i had hoped to come up with a fun t-shirt this time i actually can I’m in the midst of the design and I’ll post the link up once it’s done i wish i could mass produce ‘em but we’ll have to settle for irons or stenciled… i haven’t full figured it out.

It’s times like these I wish I’d stayed on good terms with the acquaintance’s who had silk screening outlets… oh well

Hope to see at least one of you there… and that this is in time (at least somewhat)

Are there any other geeks in LA, LA County or SGV area?

just seeing if there’s anyone around and what not gets kind of boring and not enough gay geeks around as far as i know. Maybe we could all meet up and hang out etc see the latest geek flick. i just got into geocaching and me and a friend, not a gay but somewhat geeky, are coming up with a cool treasure hunt game involving teams.

just putting it out there.

Alter Ego night at the Minneapolis Bolt Underground

After hearing about the parties that have been held in New York, Chicago and LA, I decided to e-mail the owner of one of our local bars, the Eagle, and suggest we have a super hero night. They were thrilled with the idea, so voila!

Friday, June 4, the Bolt Underground will be holding their first Super Hero night, dubbed Alter Ego! No street clothes allowed, must have a super-hero or super-villain costume. Extra points (unredeemable for anything except someone possibly buying you a drink) for wearing spandex, lycra, rubber, or body paint. This event will be on the first Friday of the month, so if you miss June 4, you’ll get another chance, and I expect it to get bigger and better! There’ll be some themed music, and eventually we’ll have costume contests as well.

So break out the masks and capes, and fly, webswing or batline your way to the secret underground hideout! (The Bolt Underground, Washington Ave, Minneapolis, MN).
