April FBOTM Timothy Adds “Hero” to His Title
You all remember Timothy! He was our very first Fanboy of the Month way back in April. Take a look at Timothy in his superhero underpants. This will jog your memory.
But the underpants aren’t the only thing heroic about Timothy. He’s embarking on a rigorous training program to prepare for the 26-mile National AIDS Marathon in Amsterdam in October! Timothy is raising money for AIDS Project Los Angeles, an outstanding organization providing vital services to over 9,000 individuals with AIDS who have no health insurance or access to medical benefits. Please join Fanboys of the Universe in supporting Timothy and donating whatever you can to his goal. Money is tight all around, but think for a moment of what luxuries you might be able to sacrifice in one week: coffee, action figures, comic books. Then think of what a difference those dollars would make in the lives of people who are struggling and suffering with AIDS and the high costs of medicine and medical services.
MAKE A DONATION TO SUPPORT TIMOTHY HERE
You can also read Timothy’s post about the Marathon in the Forum. Thanks, Timothy! You are a true hero!

Quote of the Week!
“There comes a point where you just think, ‘I might as well watch porn. After all, the acting’s better.’”
-Johnny M on Dante’s Cove
Congratulations to Johnny M for snarking his way to triumph with this week’s Quote of the Week. Johnny M’s keen observation on the thespian merits of Dante’s Cove can be enjoyed in the quote box at the top of the navigation menu to the left all week long. And you can read and join in on the thread that spawned the winning quip in the TV Forum. Or just click on Reichen’s nipple below to be whisked away to Dante’s Cove. No acting experience required!
Subtle promo photo courtesy of Here! TV.
Note: Quote of the Week appointees receive 5 FBOTU Points, good towards probably nothing. They also receive bragging rights for being ever so clever.
Note: Bragging rights expire after one week.

Friday FBOTM Fever!
It’s Friday! And mathematically speaking, Friday=FBOTM. (So says the English major!) Yes, another batch of photos have been posted of Greg, our Fanboy of the Month for June. We’re early into the month, but Greg has already caused a stir, it seems, with his boyish good looks and superhero body. Greg is undoubtedly lurking, too bashful to join in the discussion of how adorable he is. I know how that can be.
So, check Greg’s photos out in the Gallery, or read more about him on the FBOTM page.
And the usual plug: If you or someone you know would like to be a Fanboys of the Universe Fanboy of the Month, we can make it happen! As you can tell from the past couple of months, it’s all in good fun! Just e-me at info@fanboysoftheuniverse.com!

Toys Will Be Toys: A Report from the Toy Aisle
How old is
too old for a
Chewbacca backpack...I could put my laptop in it and take it to meetings.
7" Flash. There’s no part of that sentence I don’t like. And yes, I’ve seen the pictures.
Oh, for the love of...well...better Birds Barbie than Psycho Barbie.
Though Ken dressed as “Mother” would be sort of fabulous.

Gay Empire Attack!
There are yard sales, comic conventions and auctions. If your mom is in charge, it’s a yard sale. If the Comic Book Guy is in charge, it’s a Con. If Christie’s is in charge and the loot is worth thousands of dollars, it’s an auction. Christie’s of New York is holding a Pop Culture Auction on June 25, 2008. Among the cool stuff available are Evil Superman’s cape from Superman III ($2,000-$3,000), Catwoman’s mask from Batman Returns ($2,000-$3,000) and a MIB 1979 Kenner Alien action figure ($1,500-$2,000). And then there’s this:
It’s called Gay Empire Attack! by Suckadelic ($1,500-$2,000). Resin cast action figures on white PVC plastic backboard (photo courtesy of Christie’s). Suckadelic also offers a graffiti-tagged At-At from the Hasbro line and a crucified Boba Fett. I kid you not. Rounding out the Star Wars offerings is a collection of 93 Kenner action figures, on card, from the Empire, Jedi and Power of the Force lines ($5,000-$7,000). So, if you have a few grand to spare and want to add some cool pieces to your collection, head on down to Rockefeller Center on June 25. Or see all the lots and place your bids online at Christie’s website.

Two words you never thought you’d see together. Well, here they are. And there it is. Tune in and find out where to see it!
Man-at-Arms is a Power Bottom

Meet Greg! Your FBOTM for June!
When Greg first strolled into the Fanboys of the Universe FBOTM studio, he looked like the kind of guy who intimidated me in high school. Handsome, popular, athletic, I was tempted to run the other way. But as soon as we started talking movies, superheroes and comics, Greg and I were suddenly the best of friends. Greg is the boy next door, if the boy next door happened to have a cape hanging on the back of that door. Sweet as his smile, I think I could definitely count on Greg to swoop in and save the day. You can see the first shots from Greg’s Fanboy of the Month shoot in the Gallery, and you can read more about him in his profile on the FBOTM page. Don’t forget to check back every Friday in June to see more of Greg!
REMINDER: You too can be a Fanboy of the Month! No experience necessary! If you’re going to be in San Diego this summer for Comic Con and would like to secure your place in history as a Fanboys of the Universe FBOTM, just send me an email at info@fanboysoftheuniverse.com!

Quote of the Week
“Wait a minute, am I on FBOTU or RealJock.com?"
-Lysander
Congratulations to Lysander for snagging the increasingly coveted title of Quote of the Week! As our hunky members start posting shirtless pics of themselves over in the Members Mugshots thread, the fitness advice is flying fast and furious. Which, of course, prompted Lysander’s winning response! You can read up on that thread, as well as countless others, over in the Fanboys of the Universe Forum. And you can enjoy Lysander’s quip all week in the Quote of the Week box at the top of the navigation column to the left!
Note: Quote of the Week appointees receive 5 FBOTU Points, good towards probably nothing. They also receive bragging rights for being ever so clever.
Note: Bragging rights expire after one week.
